All good — we thoroughly enjoyed this low budget hotel — the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The location was nice and perfect for exploring El Remate. The venue was a nice comfy base for enjoying a very nice area. There was a nice restaurant in the hotel.

The room was wheelchair accessible with a nice shower, comfortable bed, and provided towels as expected.

The staff and host were incredibly friendly and accommodating, our spacious room with a bathroom was huge, and having air conditioning and reliable internet was a great bonus.

The location here is great because it's close to the bus stop and easy to get around, with a cool cafe nearby that offers tea and coffee.

I absolutely loved my stay at this guest house! The value for money was great, especially considering the spacious room with extra beds and a clean ensuite bathroom. The location was perfect, right on the lake and close to Tikal. The staff treated me like family, helping me with laundry, transportation, and even giving me a personal drop off to the bus stop.

The only thing that could make the morning meal better would be a wider variety of options.

I stayed at Posada Ixchel for a week while exploring Tikal. The internet was surprisingly fast and reliable, even in my room. The beds were comfy and the host was kind and helpful. Organizing transport to Tikal was easy, and there were regular colectivos to Santa Elena. The rooms were quiet, and I enjoyed the nice terrace in front of my room. The hot water was consistently hot, and the location was convenient for shops, restaurants, and the lake.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, surrounded by lush tropical flowers and hummingbirds in the garden. It really created a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. Plus, being just a short walk from the lake was a definite highlight. the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed.

The wifi at the hotel was quite bad, only working near the reception and even then it was very slow. Another downside was the presence of mosquitoes in the room.

I had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse! The room was spacious with comfortable beds and a private bathroom with hot water. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, organizing early morning pick-up and transport to Tikal. The nearby restaurant, El Arbol, was also amazing. The highlight was being able to use their fridge to store our packed lunches. I highly recommend this place for a stop on the way to Tikal or Belize.

Very nice owners and available through Whatsapp. Good WiFi to work with table and chairs outside. Able to wash our clothes within a day. the location was great as it was convenient to get around and explore.

Cleanliness of the toilet could have been better once we arrived but they fixed it right away when we mentioned it. the WiFi was a bit slow and the hot water was not available on the second day.
